A Stormy Weekend

Crediton Youth U14’s and the U11 girls were the only two sides who managed to get a game this weekend. Most fixtures were either postponed or cancelled, even the U8’s futsal event at Paignton was cancelled owing to damage to the sports hall roof. It was a big away win at Culm Sampford Cobras for the U14’s. Two goals from Jack Brimilcombe and singles from Ben Betts and Joseph Burwood saw them pick up three valuable points.

The Crediton girls were away at Ottery St Mary on Sunday, and came away with another win courtesy of a hatrick from Gracie Clements and another long range effort from Lexi Mullen. Player of the match went to Gracie Clements, who was back on form and a constant threat and added another hat-trick to her tally!

Ottery have progressed well since the sides last met in October, however Crediton’s passing game was apparently a pleasure to watch. Special mentions to Helena Sylla for her strong performance in defence and to both Maddie Ritchens and Lydia Armitage who took spells in goal and kept a clean sheet.
