And we're back!

The easing of lockdown restrictions has allowed Crediton Youth FC to return to training sessions and match days again.

One of the first age groups to get back playing was the Under 16’s. They have made an unbeaten return, starting with with a 7-1 home victory against Twyford Spartans. Next up was a midweek friendly under lights at Elmore with a 4-1 win, goals from Lewis Heywood, Kofi Firth, Sam Price and an own goal. They then ended the week with a 8-2 victory away at Central FC with Sam Price four, Kofi Firth two, and singles from Freddie Blackburn and Stan Brimilcombe.

The U15’s started their return with a 2-0 home defeat against Moors FC, but put in a great performance away at Dawlish the following weekend and came away 3-1 winners, with Charlie Lancelles, Luis Seatherton and Joe Webber grabbing the goals.

Away games for the U14’s have seen a goalless draw at Dawlish and a 3-1 defeat to Sidmouth, with Harry Welsh getting the consolation goal for Credy.

Crediton Youth U14’s prior to their game away at Sidmouth Town Junior Vikings. They are wearing their new kit kindly sponsored by Crediton Dairy. Once again the club thank them for their continued support.

Making a flying return have been the U13’s racking up two home wins, a 10-0 against Lympstone, followed by a 5-1 over Broadclyst with goals from Joe Hopkins and Ben Betts netting four.

The U12’s started with a tough fixture away to Alphington, going down 2-1, but bounced back last Saturday with 3-0 away victory at Culm Sampford with Ollie Storey getting his first goal for the club and a Zach Mildon double.

Home fixtures for the U10 Panthers & Pumas against Alphington and Culm Sampford saw two narrow defeats and two draws with Spencer Baxter, George Moullaris and Ethan Moore amongst the goal scorers.

The U9’s had a friendly fixture away at Twyford Spartans and eventually went down 6-3 with goals from Casey Philp, Jayden Saunders and Daniel Southall.

Sunday saw the first girls fixtures with the U14’s having a very entertaining a 2-2 draw against Braunton FC with Kayleigh Turner getting both goals. Then followed the U10 girls who ran out 5-2 over Braunton.

Hopefully, over the next few weeks all the Crediton Youth sides will have returned to action.
