Sunday also saw the return of the Crediboo Cup down at Lords Meadow.
This popular tournament hosted by Crediton Youth FC Under 9’s, saw visiting sides from Copplestone, Colyton, Culm Sampford, Exmouth United, North Tawton and Okehampton participate in this season’s event.
With the grass pitches unplayable the tournament was moved to the astro courts. This did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the players and quality of football on show.
After all the games were played in the round robin event it was Crediton Cobras who stayed unbeaten all day to come out as the unofficial winners. They managed to edge out Crediton Vipers with a 1-0 victory when the two sides played each other.
