Super Saturday!

Last Saturday was definitely Super Saturday for Crediton Youth FC. It was the first round Exeter & District Youth League cup competition and every Crediton side that played on Saturday won with a bit of a goal feast taking place at Lords Meadow.


The U16’s came away from Culm Sampford with a 5-4 victory with a Finn Warren brace, Josh Conway, Gabriel James and Pete Luxmore getting the Credy goals.

Playing their first game of the season saw the U14’s produce a fine performance and resulting 10-2 victory over Okehampton. Their goals coming from Alex Dredge with four, doubles from Joseph Burwood and Joe Hopkins with singles from Ben Betts and Jack Brimilcombe.

The U13’s went goal crazy at Lords Meadow running absolutely riot over Sidmouth. Their goals being shared between, Ollie Baker, George Blackburn, Dylan Cavender, Max Collins, Rhys Ebdy, Jayden Friend, Hayden Leach, Zach Mildon and Harry Norman.

A home tie for the U12’s saw them beat Exeter Panthers 9-2 with the hat tricks from both Alfie Greenwood and Jake Stagg, a Fletcher Clark brace and Seb Roche completed their scoring.

Also at home were the U11’s who had a very convincing win against Exmouth Town Amongst their goal scorers were Daniel Cavanagh, George Strawson, Hayden Miller- Richardson, Henry Wellaway, Jac Caruana, Jimmy Orchard, Spencer Baxter, Will Hopkins and Will Matten.


The U10’s made the long journey to Lyme Regis and came away with a decent victory. Their goals coming from Oliver Brimilcombe, Ryan Ebdy, Freddie Peake, Casy Philp, Daniel Southall and Oliver Wilk.

Crediton Youth United U9’s had a bye, but the U9 Rangers came from 2-0 down to win 4-3 in the dying seconds. Two goals from both Finn Moore and Harry Broome saw them through to the next round.

Sunday saw the U15’s unfortunately, go down 4-3 to Copplestone Pumas in their cup tie. Despite a Ben Harvey hatrick it was missed chances that cost them on the day. The Copplestone goals came from Gabriel Smith two, Tommy Boni and Oliver Quick.

The U13 girls maintained their great start to the season with a 6-2 win over Moors Youth. Their goals came from Amy Lockyer with two, Chloe Curtis, Evie Lewis, Heather Singer and Ruby Turner.
