Weekend Round Up: 11th/12th September

The last couple of weeks has seen most of the Crediton Youth FC sides commence their new season.


After being promoted back to Division One, the U16’s are expecting a tough season ahead. They opened their campaign with a 4-2 victory away at Sidmouth Town, with a Josh Conway brace and singles from Casey Grossett and Finn Warren. This weekend saw them put up a brave fight against a strong Brixington Blues side, but they eventually went down 9-3. Goals coming again from Casey Grossett, Josh Conway and Finn Warren.


The U15’s stated their season with a 4-2 home defeat against Heavitree Blacks.

Axminster were the visitors to Lords Meadow for a friendly for the U13’s first game of the season. A polished performance saw an 8-0 win for the home side. Hatricks for both Oliver Baker and Zach Mildon with a brace from Rhys Edby. Last Saturday saw them travel to Stoke Hill for what was always going to be a close game. Stoke Hill narrowly winning 3-2, with Oliver Baker and Rhys Edby getting the consultation goals.




The U12’s started their season with a 8-4 victory over West Exe Athletic with Seb Roche grabbing five, Jake Stagg two and Billy Dymond completing the scoring.

It’s been a strong start for the U11’s with a 3-2 home victory in a friendly against Alphington with the goals coming from George Strawson and a Lexi Mullen brace. This weekend saw a 5-0 home win over Dawlish, with an Oliver Stone double and singles from Dan Cavanagh, Will Hopkins and Jimmy Orchard grabbing the points from Credy.

The U10’s came away with two victories from their trip to Central Youth. Amongst the goal scorers were Casey Philp, Daniel Southall, Harry Wilk and Jayden Saunders.

Two wins and two defeats for the U9’s at home against both Cranbrook sides. Some quality games, with just too many goals scorers to mention!


The U8’s started their season with friendly fixtures away at Brixington Blues and were very pleased with their performances.

Sunday saw the start of the Devon Girls league season.

An away trip to Buckland saw the U13’s come away with a comfortable result. Amongst their goal scorers were, Abbie Carthew, Chloe Curtis, Evie Lewis, Heather Singer, Millie Cockayne and Ruby Turner.

Likewise the U11’s returned from Stoke Hill with a similar result. Their goals coming from Gracie Clements, Lydia Armitage, Lexi Mullen and Thea Oakley, with Lucy Budd getting the player of the match award.
