Weekend Round-Up 13/14 November

Saturday morning, saw another fine set of results for Crediton Youth FC down at the pitches at Lords Meadow.




The U15’s took on Sidmouth Town and produced a fine performance to run out 5-1 winners. On the score sheet for them was Ben Harvey, Calum Lethbridge, Eli Tanner, Henry Brazier-Armin and Owen Jones, But the referee was full of praise for Seth Hopkins the Crediton goalkeeper.


Another strong performance from the U13’s saw them overturn Twyford Spartans 7-1. Rhys Ebdy with a hatrick, a Ollie Baker brace and singles from Jake Stagg and Seb Roche.


Not to be out done the U11’s, were pretty pleased with their result against Stoke Hill. Goals from Josh Poole with three, and singles from Dan Cavanagh, Ethan Moore, George Strawson and Will Hopkins completed a fine morning at Lords Meadow.




On the road, the U16’s made the journey up to South Molton. After putting in a performance that really pleased their coaches, they had to settle for a point. The home side equalised in the last few minutes to force a 2-2 draw. Joshua Conway and a great strike from Sam Easton getting the Crediton goals. The Crediton parents were also delighted to be thanked by the referee for playing their part in a great game of football.


Another tough test for the U14’s saw them go down 5-0 away at Topsham Town.


The U9’s had friendly fixtures away at Colyton. They returned from their long journey in a positive mood, after three wins and a draw. Amongst the goal scorers for them were Finn Moore, Harry Broome, Henry Windsor, Jacob Harling, Jenson Langabeer, Luke Beetlestone, Nate Payne, Seb Conridge and William Manns.


Sunday saw the U10’s travel to Cranbrook and return with three wins and a defeat. Their goals being shared out between Archie Reeves, Casey Philp, Daniel Southall, Oliver Brimilcombe, Oliver Wilk and Riley Stone.


The U11 girls entertained Twyford and it was rather a one sided affair for the Crediton side. Gracie Clements led the goal scoring with Lexi Mullen and Gracie Pugsley also amongst the goals.


The U13 girls made the short journey to Central Youth. It was always going to be a tight affair, with both sides unbeaten in the league. Crediton edged out a 5-4 victory with goals from Amelia Duffin, Chloe Curtis Evie Lewis and a Ruby Turner double sending them top of the table.
